Personnel sluices – wet shower/ chemical showers

Before the shower process begins, the protective overall is attached to the fresh air supply within the cabinet. The chemicals are evenly dispersed over the overall from all sides to ensure complete decontamination. Specific amount of time is allowed for the chemicals to take effect and then they are washed off and the water pipes emptied. The disinfecting agent runs out through the floor drain that leads to the in-house processing unit. Once the shower cabinet is empty, the process is repeated, to ensure that the unit is kept free of germs. When used in S3 and animal research areas, the cleansing is carried out using a ceiling shower and without the protective overall.
